What do linen lovers say about us?

These tea towels are unmatched

Bought quite a few as a friend told me these were really good to use in the kitchen. Happy to say she was right. I love how absorbent they are and how they dry so quickly

Linda McGregor

Very durable. More than my other towels

Beautiful towels that have been nothing but soft and functional. I had a dinner the other day and my mother was telling me how she loved using these tea towels to cook. She's now ordered some of her own tea towels from Fergusons.

Cathy Sullivan

My favourite kitchen accessory

I love being in the kitchen, and now I love it more because I have these tea towels to use. You won't regret purchasing them.

What Is The Healthiest Material For Towels?

Linen As It Can Trap Moisture And Is More Breathable, Preventing Bacteria Buildup

The healthiest material for towels is one that minimizes bacteria buildup, avoids irritating the skin, and supports overall well-being. Linen is widely recognized as one of the best options because it is naturally anti-bacterial, hypoallergenic, and resistant to odors. Unlike synthetic materials that trap moisture, linen allows airflow, which prevents germs and mildew from thriving. Cotton can also be a healthy choice, especially organic cotton, but it doesn’t regulate moisture as effectively as linen. For those with sensitive skin or allergies, linen towels are particularly beneficial because they reduce irritation, dry faster, and require fewer harsh chemical treatments during production.

Can Linen Be Used For Towels?

Yes, It's Stronger And More Durable Than Other Fabrics

Yes, linen can absolutely be used for towels, and in many ways, it outperforms other fabrics. Linen towels are lightweight, highly absorbent, and quick-drying, making them ideal for both bathrooms and kitchens. Because the fibers are stronger and more durable than cotton, linen towels last for years while actually becoming softer with each wash. Linen also has a natural resistance to odors, so your towel stays fresher for longer, even with frequent use. This makes linen towels not only practical but also a healthier and more sustainable choice for your home.

Is 100% Cotton Or Linen Better?

Linen

The answer depends on what you value most, but in many cases, linen is the superior choice. Cotton towels are soft and plush when new, which many people enjoy, but they can wear out faster, take longer to dry, and sometimes develop that “musty towel smell.” Linen, on the other hand, is naturally stronger, more breathable, and better at regulating moisture. It dries much quicker, which helps prevent bacterial growth and makes it easier to care for. Linen also offers a refined, timeless look that cotton doesn’t match. For everyday use and long-term investment, linen tends to provide more benefits, though cotton may win for those who prefer a fluffy feel.

Are Linen Towels Any Good?

They're More Than Good

Linen towels are not just “good”, they're excellent, particularly for people who want performance, longevity, and elegance in one product. They are incredibly absorbent without being heavy, and they dry in a fraction of the time compared to cotton. This means they stay fresher and more hygienic. Linen towels are also durable, often lasting years longer than cotton, and they soften naturally over time, developing a luxurious texture. Beyond function, they bring a refined, timeless look to your bathroom or kitchen, elevating the everyday experience. For anyone looking to upgrade from basic towels, linen is one of the smartest investments you can make.
